MISSION

The mission of the Santa Barbara Technology and Industry Association (SBTIA) is to address state and local issues important to its members. SBTIA will monitor and study issues and advocate for or against public policies that affect our local technology and manufacturing sectors.

SBTIA will strive to influence public policies by working cooperatively with elected and appointed officials as well as by collaborating with local community organizations. SBTIA will also participate in business-oriented events and outreach to the local business community.

The driving force behind SBTIA is the need to have an environment where CEOs and other top executives can exchange information, wrestle with complex issues and make a positive difference for manufacturing and technology based companies as well as those stakeholders who support local industry. The SBIA Re-branding Committee participants felt strongly that an executive based group was essential to accomplish this mission.
